El Jardín emerges as a sensorial synthesis between memory and matter an abstract exploration of nature’s rhythms, rendered through a meticulous and immersive process. Conceived during a period of deep environmental observation in Costa Rica, the painting translates the kinetic language of the forest into visual form. Every mark and movement echoes the organic geometry found in the natural world: the fractured lines of tree bark, the spiraling growth of flowers, the sediment patterns left by flowing water.
The composition is built through an iterative layering technique using fine, razor-sharp linear detailing. The artist forgoes traditional brushwork in favor of precision tools blades, knives, and fine-tipped instruments to carve pathways of movement into the surface. This approach mimics the slow erosion and layering processes found in the earth itself, creating a textured terrain that pulses with latent energy.
Color is deployed with intention luminous greens and turquoises flow like chlorophyll through vascular lines, while deep blacks carve shadowy depths, anchoring the piece in the subterranean. At the heart of the composition, a radiant burst of yellow suggests an energetic core perhaps the soul of the forest or the consciousness of the planet itself glowing with primordial force.
El Jardín is not a depiction but a channeling of the Earth's ancient memory. It invokes the idea of the planet as a single, living organism: interconnected, timeless, and infinitely complex. Through this work, the artist acts as both witness and medium allowing the intelligence of the natural world to move through hand and material, speaking in patterns older than language.
